Partial Dentures

At Spring Hope Family Dentistry — serving Spring Hope, Rocky Mount, Nashville, Wilson, and surrounding communities — Dr. Elie Abboud offers multiple types of partial dentures for patients who are missing some (but not all) teeth. Whether you need a lab-made premium partial or an affordable in-house 3D-printed option, we’ll help you find the right fit for your mouth and your budget.

What Are Partial Dentures?

Partial dentures are removable prosthetics that replace one or more missing teeth while preserving your remaining natural teeth. They fill gaps, restore chewing function, improve speech, and prevent your remaining teeth from shifting out of position.

Types of Partial Dentures We Offer

Cast Metal Partials (Lab-Made)

The gold standard for durability and fit. A cast metal framework with precision clasps provides a secure, lightweight fit. Crafted by our American lab partners — Stone Lab, New Hope Dental Lab in Charlotte, and Glidewell in California.

Resin-Base Partials with Metal Clasps (Lab-Made)

An acrylic-base partial with metal clasps for retention. A practical, cost-effective option when a full cast framework isn’t necessary.

Flexible Partials (Lab-Made)

Made from a flexible thermoplastic material, these partials are lightweight, comfortable, and clasp-free — they blend naturally with your gums. Ideal for patients who want a metal-free option with excellent aesthetics.

3D-Printed Flexible Partials (In-House)

Our most affordable partial denture option — fabricated right here in our office using our SprintRay Pro 2 3D printer. We use SprintRay Apex Flex for the flexible base, OnX Tough 2 for teeth, finished with Glaze by Rodin and Ivoclar IPS Empress Direct colors for a natural, polished result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get a partial denture?
3D-printed partials can be ready in as few as 3 business days. Lab-made partials typically take 2–3 weeks depending on the type and lab workload.

Will people notice I’m wearing a partial?
Modern partial dentures — especially flexible and 3D-printed options — are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural gums and teeth.

Can I eat normally with a partial?
Yes. After a short adjustment period, most patients eat comfortably with their partial dentures. Metal-framework partials offer the most stability for chewing.

Do you offer a free second opinion?
Yes. Bring your treatment plan from another office and we’ll give you an honest evaluation at no charge.

Digital Impressions — No Goopy Molds

Hate the gagging and discomfort of traditional impression material? So do we. At Spring Hope Family Dentistry, we use digital intraoral scanners instead of messy putty impressions for your dentures. The scanner captures a precise 3D map of your mouth in minutes — it’s faster, more comfortable, and produces a more accurate fit than traditional molds. Just one more reason patients from across the region choose us for their denture care.
