When you show up to your appointment, we can take CBCT X-rays, or a regular X-ray if needed. We put the X-ray on the TV so we can show it to you. For example, this tooth had a big crack and a big cavity here, and we have an AI that also spots the cavities and can show them to you. It shows you the bone, the root, the nerves, the different layers of the teeth and the different fillings you’ve had. We also take pictures from inside your mouth, so we can show you where the cavity is, and what’s broken and what’s not. We’ll give you all the options that might be possible, like doing nothing, antibiotics, an extraction, an implant, a bridge, or anything else. We’ll also verify your insurance and give you an estimate, so you know exactly what we’ll charge and how much your insurance says they’ll pay. And whatever you decide to do, we’ll schedule it, or get it done that same day if it’s a simple extraction.”
